His experience is not limited to music—he has also worked in instrument craftsmanship, security, construction, and retail. Born in Brazil, Daniel Alves Alger spent most of his early years in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. While growing up, he became deeply involved in ice hockey, playing competitively throughout school. He was a top-line forward for the Blair Ice Hockey team and contributed to their divisional championship win in 2014. His dedication to the sport helped build discipline and focus early in life. Music was always part of Daniel’s world. He began studying piano as a child, which introduced him to the structure and creativity behind musical composition. Over time, his interests expanded to the bass guitar and then to the six-string guitar. As a teenager, he became active in the DMV music scene, joining local bands and developing his skills as both a guitarist and a songwriter. In 2017, Daniel moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to attend Belmont University. Though his time at Belmont lasted only two semesters, it had a strong impact. He was introduced to professional-level musicianship and connected with others who shared his creative interests. During this time, he started performing at local venues and writing new material. Eventually, he co-founded The Druids, a band that draws on psychedelic and classic rock influences. As a core member of The Druids, Daniel Alger of Nashville contributes as a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter. He plays a key role in shaping the band's style, which combines indie rock, psychedelic textures, and lyrical storytelling. The band has self-released two albums, with Daniel also handling much of the technical side, including engineering and mixing. Their music has reached listeners through platforms like Bandcamp, helping them build a direct connection with fans. In addition to his work with the band, Daniel has worked as a DJ in Nashville’s club scene. He served as a house DJ for one venue for a full year, while also performing at other locations. In 2025, the Druids are preparing to release a new album. The first single will be released in October, and the band will promote it with a tour across various Nashville venues. Daniel Alger of Nashville also worked at Warwick Guitars from October 2024 through April 2025. In his role as a Guitar and Bass Quality Control Technician, he was responsible for inspecting instruments before they were shipped, making sure they met performance and structural standards. This role allowed him to combine his musical expertise with a hands-on technical approach. His experience also spans several other industries. Daniel has worked in delivery, security, construction, retail, and e-commerce. He worked for two years as a licensed security guard at the Governors Club in Brentwood, a private gated community, where he ensured safety and followed established protocols. He has also worked as a delivery driver for Amazon, a warehouse associate at FedEx Ground, and has driven for Uber part-time over the past three years. In construction, Daniel worked as a plumber’s assistant with Aspen Hill Plumbing and performed manual labor and delivery tasks for Johnson Construction and Page Stonework & Landscape. He also spent two years working as a sales associate at a holistic health store in Nashville and previously held a role as an online sales and inventory clerk at Ananda Apothecary in Boulder, Colorado. Daniel Alger of Nashville graduated from Montgomery Blair High School in 2014. He completed two Advanced Placement courses and was accepted into the school’s Communication Arts Program, a four-year honors-level curriculum centered on writing and media. The program strengthened his communication and creative thinking skills, which later supported his songwriting. He also earned a scholarship to attend Wooten Guitar Camp, a music program hosted by Victor Wooten. The experience offered valuable mentorship and the chance to collaborate with other musicians. Now in 2025, Daniel is focused on finishing and releasing The Druids’ upcoming album, teaching private guitar and bass lessons, and working as a freelance recording engineer. He collaborates with artists in both studio and live environments. He is fluent in Brazilian Portuguese and holds dual citizenship in Brazil and the United States. His multicultural background shapes his perspective. He is a fan of Clube Atlético Mineiro and still enjoys playing pick-up hockey when time allows.
