Annice Brave is the 2011 Illinois Teacher of the Year and was a recipient of the NEA Foundation Award for Teaching Excellence. She teaches English at Alton High School and is a sponsor of Collaborative Classroom, a place for teachers to explore Common Core State Standards and innovative teaching techniques.
